Beta 10 to Beta 115T marine diesels · Saildrives · BetaSet generators

Open 'Installation Guides & Operators Manuals' and pick the Operators Maintenance Manual for your engine family (Beta 10 to 115T heat-exchanger engines), plus your gearbox manual. The engine model is on the engine label. Saildrive and generator manuals are on the sister 'Literature Downloads' pages. Cat C7.1, C9, C12, C18, C32, 3126, 3208 marine engines

Use Guided Search with the serial number prefix (the first 3 characters of the engine serial on the information plate) or the sales model, then pick 'Operation and Maintenance Manual'. Cat sells these as a printed copy or a digital PDF. A Cat marine dealer can also look up the manual for your serial number.

Crusader gas inboards and sterndrives (Classic, Captain's Choice)

Open the Owner's Information section to download the operational manuals (Captain's Choice 2009-2013) and technical information. Service bulletins list affected serial number ranges, and the serial is on the engine decal or plate. For other years, use the site's 'email a technician' link with your engine and transmission make, model and year.

QSB, QSC, QSL, QSM marine diesels · Older 6B/6C marine

Create a free QuickServe Online account and search by your engine serial number (ESN), which is on the engine dataplate (usually on the valve cover or the side of the block). Owner's and operation-and-maintenance manuals are listed by ESN. A Cummins marine dealer can also supply the manual.

Onan MDKB/MDKD marine diesel generator sets · QD marine gensets

Read the model and spec letter (for example MDKBH Spec E) and serial number from the generator nameplate. Cummins states that the current operator manual for each set is in QuickServe Online (quickserve.cummins.com, free registration, search by serial). A Cummins Onan marine dealer can also supply it.

Marine air conditioning (self-contained, split, chilled water) · Marine toilets and refrigeration

Type the model, MFG#, SKU or item number from the unit's data label into the search bar, or filter by product area and document type (operating, installation or service manual). Older Marine Air and Cruisair units are also covered.

Evinrude E-TEC and E-TEC G2 · Older Evinrude/Johnson (OMC/BRP) outboards

Open BRP's Operator's Guides site and choose Evinrude (or Johnson). Newer Evinrude guides are grouped by the letter code in your model number (folders such as AG Models or AH Models), then by E-TEC or E-TEC G2 and horsepower; older guides are grouped by model year (2004-2012). The Johnson section only covers 2004-2007. The model and serial number are on the label on the engine's swivel/clamp bracket. BRP stopped making Evinrude outboards in 2020; for older Johnson/OMC engines, or if the guide is not listed, contact an Evinrude service dealer or BRP customer service through evinrude.com.

Fischer Panda marine generators (Panda mini, PMS, iSeries) · DC generators

Open the marine downloads page and pick the operation manual for your generator model and language. The model (for example Panda 8000i) and serial are on the generator's nameplate. Check the revision date against your unit's build year.

Honda outboards BF2.3 to BF350 · Jet models

Find your model in the list under its power group (Portable 2-20 HP, Mid-Range 25-100 HP, High Power 115-350 HP or Jet) and click it. If you are not sure of the model, use the page's 'Find Serial and Model Number' link, which shows where the label is on the engine. A Honda Marine dealer can order a printed copy.

Ilmor inboards (MV8, 5.3L/6.2L) · Ilmor One-Drive · GDI outboards

Download the owner's manual for engines, One-Drive or older Indy stern drives. Ilmor says the serial number is on the starboard side of the intake plenum on inboards, under the top cover on GDI outboards, and on the heat exchanger on One-Drive. For older model years, call Ilmor Marine at 844-464-5667 (844-GO-ILMOR).

Wake Series (V-drive/direct drive) · Jet Series

Choose Wake Series (towboat inboards) or Jet Series, then your model year, to open the operator manual. The engine serial number is stamped into the block and should also be written inside the back cover of your printed manual. For engines Indmar built for a boat brand, ask the boat dealer or Indmar customer support.

Bilge pumps · Engine cooling impeller pumps · Macerators and water systems

Find your pump on the Johnson Pump Marine pages (the brand is now part of ITT Flow Technologies); installation and instruction manuals are on each product page or in the resources section. Use the part number on the pump label (manual numbers look like IB-103). For help, email JP-customerservice@spxflow.com or use the site's contact form.

Jet Ski personal watercraft

Choose Watercraft as the vehicle category, then the year and model, or search by the 12-character HIN (Kawasaki HINs start with KAW) printed on the plate at the rear of the hull and on your registration. Kawasaki lists owner's and service manuals as printed products to buy, and some older ones are sold out. A Kawasaki dealer can also order one.

Kohler/Rehlko marine diesel and gasoline generator sets

Kohler's power business is now called Rehlko. Read the model number (for example 11EKOZD) and serial from the generator nameplate, then look up the model in the Rehlko Marine literature and product pages ('Technical Documents'). If the operation manual is not posted, ask a Rehlko/Kohler marine dealer.

MAN V8/V12/i6 yacht diesels

MAN supplies the operator's manual, maintenance plan and a service DVD with the engine; there is no public download. If yours is missing, contact a MAN dealer or workshop with the engine number. It is on the engine type plate, in the maintenance record and registration papers, or stamped next to the last cylinder on the power-output side.

Outboard (FourStroke, Verado, Pro XS, SeaPro, 2-stroke) · MerCruiser sterndrive/inboard

You only need the engine serial number (format: one number, one letter and six numbers, for example 0G112233). On an outboard, turn the engine to port and tilt it up; the label is on the starboard side, about halfway down the transom bracket. On MerCruiser, the label is on the side of the engine or on top of the flame arrester cover. Agree to the terms and fill in the short online form to open the digital Operation, Maintenance & Installation Manual. If no digital copy exists, Mercury Publications can be reached at 920-929-5110 or through any authorized Mercury dealer.

Racing outboards · Racing sterndrives/inboards

Mercury Racing is a Mercury Marine division and does not have its own manual lookup page that we could open, so use the Mercury owner's manual form with the engine (or drive) serial number. If the form has no digital copy for a racing model, call Mercury Publications at 920-929-5110 or ask a Mercury Racing dealer, with the serial number ready.

Trolling motors (Terrova, Ultrex, Ulterra, PowerDrive, Endura, Riptide) · E-Drive

Pick your motor family (for example Terrova or Endura), then choose the manual for your production date range. The serial number on the motor's label tells you the build date (for example, serials starting 23247M were built from October 2023). Legacy models (1974-2016) have their own archive pages.

Nissan outboards (discontinued)

Nissan Marine outboards are no longer sold, and most were built by Tohatsu on the same engine families. Read the model and horsepower from the serial label on the clamp bracket and look for the matching Tohatsu model by horsepower. A Tohatsu dealer can confirm the match by serial number. The Tohatsu page does not list Nissan by name, so treat any match as approximate.

Northern Lights marine generators · Lugger marine diesels · Technicold air conditioning

Find your model in the operator's manual list (for example M673L2 or NL944) and open it. Manuals and literature are free for Northern Lights and Lugger owners. To request one, give the model and serial number from the generator's nameplate; if you don't have the serial, call the parts department at 1-800-762-0165. An archive covers older models.

PCM ZZ, ZR and XS/XR inboards (ski/wake boats)

Pick your engine's model year (2020-2026 are listed) to download the owner's manual and technical information for your engine family (ZZ5/ZZ6/ZZ8, ZR4/ZR7). Older years are on the page's archive link. The model and serial are on the engine decal; your boat dealer can confirm the year.

Rule bilge pumps (automatic, standard, LoPro, Rule-Mate) · Float switches

Open your pump type (for example Rule-Mate or Standard Bilge Pump) and use the product page's documents to get the instruction manual. You need the model number printed on the pump body or its box.

Sea-Doo personal watercraft · Sea-Doo Switch pontoons

Every new Sea-Doo comes with a printed Operator's Guide. The online copy is on BRP's Operator's Guides site, linked from this page, where you choose the model and year. The HIN is on the rear of the hull and the VIN/model info is on the registration. Extra paper copies can be ordered through a Sea-Doo dealer.

Suzuki outboards

Filter the library by engine model (for example DF140B), engine prefix and serial number. Together they make the full number on the serial label on the engine's clamp bracket. The matching row links to the owner's manual. If your engine is not in the list, an authorized Suzuki Marine dealer can help.

Tohatsu outboards (2-stroke, 4-stroke, TLDI) · Electric outboards

Pick the horsepower (or a kW output for electric models) in the 'Select Output' filter, then pick your model in the results table to open the manual. Tohatsu states copies are available at no charge. The model and horsepower are on the engine's serial label on the clamp bracket. For older models, ask a Tohatsu dealer.

Travel, Ultralight and Cruise electric outboards · Deep Blue systems · Power batteries

Browse the Operating Instructions page and pick your product family and model. You need the model name and the serial number from the product label on the motor (and on the battery, if separate). For older models, contact Torqeedo service.

Vetus marine diesels (M-Line, D-Line, H-Line) · Thrusters, pumps and boat systems

Filter by Category and Product group to find technical documentation and spare parts guides for your Vetus engine or equipment. You need the type/model from the engine or product label. Not every engine has a separate owner's manual online; for one, use Vetus 'Contact service' or a Vetus dealer.

Gas sterndrives and inboards · Diesel inboards, IPS and Aquamatic · Saildrives

Use the Manuals & handbooks search with your engine's product designation (for example D2-40 or V8-350) or its serial number, or open your engine's product-family support page. Both numbers are on the engine identification decal on the engine and drive. Operator's manuals and maintenance information are downloaded from the Manuals & handbooks page; some documents and owner features need a free Volvo Penta Connect account (registered as owner of the product). Professional repair manuals are sold separately. A Volvo Penta dealer can also help.

Westerbeke diesel engines · Universal (legacy) diesel engines · Westerbeke diesel and gasoline generators

Under Technical Documents, choose your product class (for example Westerbeke Engines, Universal Engines or Diesel Generators), then your model to open its manuals. You need the model on the engine nameplate. The page also links to a serial/date code guide for decoding your serial number.

Yamaha jet boats

Pick your boat model, the model year and the product from the drop-down menus, then click Find. The site covers U.S. models only and is in English. The model and year are on your registration and on the HIN plate on the transom. If your year is missing, ask a Yamaha boat dealer.

Four-stroke outboards · 2-stroke and V MAX SHO outboards · Jet outboards

Enter the Primary ID: the prefix model code, shaft length and full serial number. All of it is on the serial number label on the engine's clamp/swivel bracket and on your warranty card. Type every digit, including leading zeros on older models. If your manual is not listed, an authorized Yamaha Marine dealer can order a printed copy.

WaveRunner personal watercraft

Pick your WaveRunner model, the model year and the product from the drop-down menus, then click Find. The model and year are on your registration and on the hull identification number (HIN) plate at the rear of the hull. A Yamaha WaveRunner dealer can supply a printed copy. Factory service manuals are sold separately through Yamaha Publications.

Yanmar marine diesels (GM, JH, BY, LV, LP, LT series) · Saildrives

Go to Products > Engines on Yanmar Marine's site, open your engine's product page and look under Downloads for the Operation Manual (several languages). You need the exact engine model (for example 3YM30AE or 4JH45) from the engine information plate. Yanmar's FAQ says only currently offered engines have downloadable manuals; for older engines, ask an authorized Yanmar Marine dealer or regional distributor.
