What we collect

Account data: your name, email address and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).

Boat data you enter: boats, engines, serial numbers, HIN, engine hours, maintenance tasks, service records, costs, photos and any manuals you upload.

AI Mechanic conversations: your questions and the answers, so you can see your history and we can measure costs and improve quality.

Purchase data from our payment partner: order ID, product, amount and status. We never see or store your full card number.

Basic technical data: device and browser type, pages visited and error logs.

How we use it

To run the Service: build your maintenance plan, send reminders, answer your questions and keep your records. To provide support, prevent abuse and fraud, and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run BoatMend: database, login and file storage (Supabase), AI processing (Google Gemini API), email delivery, hosting and payment processing. When you ask the AI Mechanic a question, the question and the relevant boat details are sent to the AI provider to generate the answer.

Your rights and choices

You can view, edit, export or delete your data from your account, or ask us to do it. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information. We honor those requests for all users.

To unsubscribe from reminders, use the link in any email or your account settings. Contact: support@boatmend.online.

Security and retention

Your boats, records, manuals and conversations are private to your account and protected by access rules at the database level. We keep your data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days after you delete your account, except where the law requires us to keep purchase records.

Children

BoatMend is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
