Terms of use
Last updated 2026-10-22
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using BoatMend (the "Service") you agree to these Terms and to the Safety Disclaimer, which is part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Lifetime access
BoatMend is sold as a one-time purchase ($34.90) that grants a personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for as long as BoatMend is offered. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the product, not of the purchaser. If we ever discontinue the Service, we will give at least 90 days' notice and a way to export your boat data.
Your license is for personal, non-commercial use on boats you own or operate. Sharing an account, reselling access or using the Service to run a commercial repair or fleet business requires our written permission.
3. Your account and content
You are responsible for your login details and for everything done under your account. You keep ownership of the boat data, service records, photos and documents you upload. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the Service to you.
Manuals you upload must be documents you are entitled to use. They are stored privately in your account and used only to answer your own questions.
4. Fair use of the AI Mechanic
The AI Mechanic is included without a visible question limit for normal personal use. To protect the Service from automated or shared-account abuse, we apply technical daily limits and may temporarily restrict access that looks automated or abusive.
Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, to harm others, to scrape content or to reverse engineer the Service.
5. Content and intellectual property
BoatMend's guides, checklists, software and design are owned by BoatMend and protected by copyright. You may print or save guides for your own use, but not republish them.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BoatMend will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any damage to boats, engines or property, personal injury or loss of life arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service.
8. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by our payment partner, which may act as the merchant of record. Refunds follow our Refund Policy. A refund or chargeback ends your access to the Service.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app. Questions: support@boatmend.online.
